The Durham Potters' Guild was founded 20 years ago for potters in the Durham Region.

It was created to provide members with an opportunity to participate in workshops,

to share their ideas and knowledge, to promote the craft of pottery and also as

a social meeting-place to become acquainted with other local potters.

Comprising of both full-time and part-time potters, with experiences ranging from

just a few years to over thirty years, the Guild's membership has grown to thirty-two active members. Each potter has an individual style thereby creating a varied selection

of both functional and decorative works.
