Our History

 

The Durham Potters' Guild was founded over 30 years ago for potters in the Durham Region of Ontario, Canada. 

 

It was created to provide members with an opportunity to participate in workshops, to share their ideas and knowledge, to promote the craft 

of pottery and also as a social meeting place to become acquainted with other local potters. 

 

Comprising of both full-time and part-time potters, with skills ranging from recent to very experienced, the Guild's membership is currently comprised of 25 active members. Each potter has an individual style thereby creating a varied selection of both functional and decorative works.
